What types of landscape lighting fixtures are there?
1. Street lighting is the main artery of the city. The primary illumination comes from streetlights, which are lighting facilities set up on roads to provide necessary visibility for vehicles and pedestrians at night. Traffic signal lights can improve traffic conditions, reduce driver fatigue, help increase road capacity, and ensure traffic safety. Courtyard lights, landscape lights, and streetlights form a three-dimensional lighting method that can enhance the decorative effect of the road, beautify the urban night scene, and compensate for insufficient streetlight illumination.
2. Landscape lights are an indispensable part of modern landscapes. They not only have high ornamental value but also emphasize the harmonious unity of artistic lighting fixtures with the historical culture of scenic areas and their surrounding environment. Chinese-style lights are one of the representative series of traditional styles, featuring a generous appearance, multiple light sources, high illuminance, and good landscape effects.
3. Landscape lights have an aesthetically pleasing shape. They shine brightly at night, making them a beautiful sight.
4. In-ground lights have a beautiful shape and a smooth appearance. They are widely used in shopping malls, parking lots, green belts, parks, tourist attractions, residential communities, urban sculptures, pedestrian streets, and building steps. They are mainly buried in the ground for decorative or guiding illumination, with some used for wall washing or illuminating trees. Their application offers considerable flexibility.
5. Lawn lights, as lighting facilities around lawns, are also important landscape facilities. With their unique design and soft lighting, they add safety and beauty to urban green landscapes and are easy to install with strong decorative effects. They can be used in parks, gardens, and around villas, pedestrian streets, parking lots, and squares. They use 36W or 70W metal halide lamps, spaced 6 to 10 meters apart.
6. Wall lights have an attractive appearance with simple and elegant lines. They come in many styles and forms, usually placed in residential areas, parks, or on columns, making them very ornamental. They are easy to install, maintain, and have low power consumption.
7. The use of spotlights is similar to that of flashlights, generally used outdoors. They can also be used indoors, as different varieties have different purposes.
8. Floodlights provide illumination on a designated surface that is higher than the surrounding environment, also known as spotlighting. They can usually be aimed in any direction, and their structure is not affected by weather conditions. They are mainly used in mines, building outlines, stadiums, overpasses, monuments, parks, flower beds, etc. Therefore, almost all outdoor large-area lighting fixtures can be considered floodlights. The beam angle of floodlights ranges from 0° to 180°, with particularly narrow beams referred to as searchlights.
9. Wall-washing lights, as the name suggests, wash the walls with light like water. They are mainly used for architectural decoration and lighting, and also for outlining large buildings. Due to the energy-saving, high light efficiency, rich colors, and long lifespan of LED light sources, wall-washing lights with other light sources are gradually being replaced by LED wall-washing lights. The technical parameters of LED wall-washing lights are roughly similar to those of LED floodlights.
